The association "Kandava Partnership", as a local action group (VRG), carries out a state-delegated function by announcing LEADER project calls since 2007 and administering the implementation of the Kandava Partnership’s development strategy in its area of operation. By implementing the LEADER approach, the partnership promotes the improvement of quality of life for all residents in the local area. With active involvement from residents, the development strategies of the Kandava Partnership are created. The VRG area of operation includes the following territorial units of Tukums municipality: the town of Kandava and the parishes of Kandava, Cēre, Zemīte, Zante, Matkule, Vāne, Pūre, Sēme, Irlava, Jaunpils, and Viesati.
